Public, private, or faith-based nonprofit organizations as well as local or state agencies can become an AmeriCorps VISTA Host Site.
VISTA members are passionate and talented people who help local nonprofit organizations address compelling community issues by committing a year of service to build the organization’s capacity to have greater impact.
AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), a government agency that plays a vital role in supporting and encouraging the values of citizenship, service, and responsibility across the United States.
Think Tank partners with CNCS to provide opportunities for individuals across the state of Ohio, and through select national partners, to serve their community as an AmeriCorps VISTA.
AmeriCorps VISTA members bring their service where the need is greatest: to organizations that help eradicate poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions.
